I believe the characters we read on the page become more real than the men who stand beside us.

There comes a time in man’s search for meaning when one realises that there are no answers. And when you come to that horrible, unavoidable realization, you accept it or you kill yourself. Or you simply stop searching… I have lived a blessed life. And yet every night, when I climb into bed, turn off the lights, and stare in to the dark, I wonder… Is this all there is?

You wonder? Every soul on this planet does. But then when morning comes, we all wake up and make a pot of coffee.

Water falls. Water falls from bright air. It falls like hair, falling across a young girl’s shoulders. Water falls making pools in the asphalt, dirty mirrors with clouds and buildings inside. It falls on the roof of my house. It falls on my mother and on my hair. Most people call it rain.
